Downgrading from 3.09 Beta to 3.08.1 @Myco

So , when I started trying out FS I downloaded the Beta ...for some reason 
I am mostly bothered by the jumping mouse cursor when letting go of a knob, other then that it seems to work ok in my limited experience . However , now that I really want to dive in I think it would be wise to downgrade to the more stable 3.08.
I have a few concerns about downgrading.
1. All my projects/assets are saved as 3.09. If the save as 3.08 works I can fix that although tedious.
2. Will a downgrade inherit my library settings ?
3. Will my library , gathered in the 3.09 even work in the 3.08 ?
4. Can I have both versions installed at the same time during the transition, to compare and make sure everything works ?
5. Am I making the right decision in your opinion or should I rather wait for an upgrade ?
