Wifi communication

I want to communicate via wifi with modules that will output temps and accept input to actuate a relay. The idea is a remote module will provide a temperature measurement to flowstone and when the temperatures set in flowstone is met it will signal a relay that will start a blower... I am very new to this so any direction ins greatly appreciated.
