Just a question!

OK, I am NOT making an "Etch a Sketch", a good idea though. So the question is what type display (X,Y) could you use for this and it should also be expandable to any size.

Thanks all!

Cheers, BobF.....

Here's my collection of Joystick X-Y controllers.

Maybe something will be useful or adaptable for your needs...

Thank you so much Spogg, but what I am really looking for is a DISPLAY that would support say graphic surface function plots. Again NOT what I am doing, but again a cool idea.

Later then, BobF.....

Oops

I misunderstood, or rather made an assumption. You want a display that leaves a trace of input x-y values.

Now that you mention it ..... who doesn't want an "Etch a Sketch"

if we have to stay in lockdown/isolation much longer ... I may have to spring for one !

You can do that by using the green prim (forgot the name) that allows you to draw into a bitmap.

Thanks tula,

Do you remember any schematics that may have used it. I looked and can not find it, sorry.
