I was quite happy with the look of Super 35 ; I thought to do something with a similar look, but with a bit simpler controls, no mod matrix, and a few effects. The synth that's always struck me as one of the best balances between simplicity and capability was the ARP Odyssey - a simply brilliant 'reduction' of their 2600.
