Thats exactly it Tzarls & they need funding for it

thats where we come in!
But I meant we put down 100 GBP
each for a copy of FS64bit, that can handle 64bit audio samples.

Why don't try to Kickstart Genera?
So what's is inside VST.dll?...

I think vst.dll is a vst version of FS (or Synthmaker) without the editing features. When you export a VST, the app attaches the schematic to VST.dll, changes some bits for configuration and then changes the name of the .dll file to the name you specified when exporting.

Thanks, this explain many things.

I agree with the Kickstart idea, but right now we also need to keep in mind the computer world is extremely turbulent right now and will continue to be for a while. No one really knows how it's going to go, so to kick start 64 bit development I agree with, but to complicate it by trying to get cross platform at the same time.. As great as that would be, would probably be asking too much all at once.

I agree, the plan was only to get 64bit support. Mucking about with multiple OS's is no good for now.

So I'm asking a different question: Isn't it better to "pave" the way to world of cross-platform now?
i mean, if we already invest solid resources, and DSPR invest expansive time and efforts in a "total renovation"
maybe we should at least think what is the best way to make a system that may move to cross-platform
easily at the future.
telling the truth, i have a plenty ideas how to use cross-platform flowstone with arm processor based development mobos (which are small enough to embed in lots of projects and gadgets, comparing to big, heavy, expansive X86 boards). that would be great benefit for millions of users that will love to support our kick-start.
What do you think?

I think that would be very difficult because of the way FS deals with assembler. Intel Assembler is different to ARM assembler, and trying to keep schematics with hardware cross compatibility would be a nightmare. For instance, SSE instructions aren´t available in ARM processors; they also have different kind (and amount) of registers.... you get the idea.
Do you really think there would be MILLIONS of users supporting the project?

(BTW, I´d really like to know what are the devs doing about this.... it seems like we could start talking about our plans to take over DSPRobotics or develop our own platform or supporting Synthedit or anything like that and they wouldn´t even care.....)

That's bad news. If so, seems like there is no elegant way to expand the current platform. Just wondering how delphi XE5 does it. Anyway, 64bit is better then anything, but i doubt if we can find enough supporters to kickstart successfully as it won't appeal the masses. At least we can check with guys from SM forum and ask if they would support. Don't forget we need about 1000 supporters...

I know there is a huge community of "developing maniacs" out there, anywhere on the glob. Cross-platform
FS would be kind of dream comes true for most of them (as FS supports wide range of applications and hardware,
including robotics, video, controllers, internet streaming and many more). maybe millions won't support immediately, but they will definitely buy in the long run. But, there would be enough supporters for sure
