Re: Vector knob enhancements

Hi nix .... good to see ya here !!!
Yeah ... I'm seeing the benefits of having vector knobs as an option. I've been scanning the dual forums trying to see what's already been created, and pulling various ideas together.
I just looked into the 1st knob you posted ... oh my, most every element custom
I was hoping to stay closer to the 'established' designs, and ended up with the model that I first posted as it seem to fit the common consensus with the ability to customize. In particular, it was re-sizable and I could easily change the 'steps' amount or go continuous. It also played well with NuBeats 'Multi-Preset' module.
I did find some components from one of the 'toolbox' kits that I was able to integrate for the 'triangle' pointer.
I tried to get the surround 'dots' into this ... but its not correct.
Here's what I have at the moment.
and here's the schematic
This is just the basic knob. It would be desired for it to work [layout] as automatic as possible
I realize [with my efforts] that this is no easy task. [at least at my current programming level].
But this seems a reasonable model that has similar build design of several other knobs. Hopefully this can be something that can easily be used and have a familiar look inside.
Knob design .... oh the joy
but we need them all the time
