EXE not working properly on tablet

Post by TimC »

Does anyone have experience of using Flowstone-generated EXE files on a tablet? I have a schematic which involves a lot of buttons to press! I've written it so that the GUI looks like a button is pressed when (L) clicked - hold it down, it stays looking pressed, untill released. The schematic works perfectly. When I export it on my PC (Windows 10) it works perfectly with mouse clicks. I need it to work on my Windows (Linx) tablet with screen taps. When I try it, the key down effect doesn't show at all (although outputs seem to work immediately). If I tap and tap on a button, it sometimes shows, but very erratically. I thought the OS was supposed to treat taps and drags and things just like mouse actions. I'm wondering if I need to tap (pun intended!) into a Windows .dll somehow to get screen gestures directly, but haven't a clue how to set that up. Your help would be much appreciated. I attach a stripped down version of my schematic with just two buttons. Try it in the schematic environment (the label turns to uppercase when pressed (click/hold), try an .exe export, then try it on a Windows tablet, you'll probably see what I mean!

This is the stripped-down version of my main schematic. If you can try an exe version on a tablet, you'll proabably see what I'm on about!

Re: EXE not working properly on tablet

I'm not suited for helping with this at all. But I can always ask some questions for good measure...

--> Can FS be installed on your tablet, and in that case do the buttons work correctly when schematic is run by FS in Focus Mode?
--> Any difference when running or launching the .EXE in fullscreen?
--> Any difference if checking/unchecking "Include context menu for zoom and exit" when exporting .EXE?

I have a vague memory (perhaps a false memory) about being able to turn a "tablet mode" on and off in windows 10...
Was or is there such a thing? Does it make any difference if so?
