Yes, it is probably a beta bug.
Going back is really a hassle , It seems that none of my assets /Library items work , It shows me the library list but trying to drag any modules into 3.08 just crashes it , makes sense I guess as they are "saved" in 3.09 .
If I am doing something wrong and should be able to move my library to 3.08 then I am missing how to do that .
If I cant downgrade, then I guess I should upgrade to the alpha.
Is the new alpha pretty stable , or will I be in the same situation ? Not being able to use my stuff in the future ?

I haven't seen any bug reports for a month with the latest test alpha but that doesn't mean there aren't any! It runs all my previous projects without issues.
My humble advice is to bite the bullet and start again with 3.081. You won't have lost anything you've learnt, just some tools and stuff you can replace. The other thing is getting help with problems when very few have access to the latest test alphas. Plus if you make something now it may very well be broken by the next or final release.

ok, makes sense . It is also annoying having things not work properly and being unsure if its a real problem or a bug.
I guess I will put in the effort....building my library again , an pretty much everything I have saved.
I will set up a laptop with 3.09 for what I can save from there into 3.08 format , provided that it works.
I also sent Myco a message asking to be an alpha tester.

I should add that the Save as 3.08 option was broken and has already been removed from the newer alphas. No backwards compatibility is planned but opening older stuff is working.
What you can do is copy DSP and ASM as text and paste into the 3.081 version which will then compile appropriately. Probably Ruby too for the most part, but I'm not certain.

A quick test ... my project saves as 3.08 , but the steady scope I am depending on does not work.
Man...they should remove that beta ...sigh.
