This includes zooming into the waveform right down to the sample level with a nifty scroll zoom bar (works same as Edision in FL Studio).
Auto slicing of the sample and each slice is automatically assigned a key on the keyboard so you can play the slices back polyphonically , hence the name ;)
Loads MP3 also

Wow, Exo, very promising! The best part is the last. I don't know how you managed to do that. Something like stream prim to blue to mem? Well, it will stay a miracle I'm afraid ;)
When this thing is ready, make sure it gets a very cool gui design. It deserves it!

 You are really doing it?!? Thought you just waved me with a polite diplomatic "Maybe"
Man, that's so cool. But if you really wanna to SHACK DA ROOM, you should add the tempo based stretching
feature which we've discussed at the blog. It scary to even think about how many possibilities are going to be opened with this feature! 8-)

some amazing stuff in this thread!

wow that sampler sounds amazing Exo! does it use the mp3 file or use a conversion of it? we could be doing with proper mp3 implementation :) the current one is rather poor :?

I dont know how to play poker Billv but im going to have a wee play with your gizmo! that looks very cool indead :)

I am attempting to make some items based around the Novation launchpad series controllers, i was hoping to create a vst and exe phrase/sample player not unlike the launchpad ipad app! em, but better! dont know if i will manage it but im having a try, got the buttons done and mapped correctly, and most of the commands for the feedback to the vari color illuminated buttons on the hardware done, but im at early stages :)

Yes I will have to get somebody on board when the time comes for a nice GUI. ;)

The secret is dll component shh!

:) yes stretching is on the list. it is possible via the dll component, problem is just in implementing the algorithm hopefully I can find a nice open source one :)

Billv
I know the feeling, happens all the time with me
billv wrote:it gave me a headache trying to work out how

Still very nice and useful though! A lot of cool stuff around here. Reminds me of when I used to play with home recording and vst plugins, I played the drums, had a band... quite a few years ago. Good times!
Cheers

Thanks tulamide. I will give them a test when I get round to trying this.

I'm also going to attempt my own algorithm just to see how bad it sounds  . But if I can get decent quality I'll obviously stick with my own :)

Wow, I remember when I first saw someone doing that in pro tools. "Shorten the time without changing pitch? No way!" :)
