Indeed, without Martin's work finding its way into everything I make, I'd have nothing of much use.

I am eternally grateful to him.

Cheers

I want to thank you for your fantastic VSTi which I think is one of the best tools that use the padsynth algorithm implementation.
The possibility of setting the partials and their amplitudes give the possibility of obtaining a truly impressive sound variety as well as the possibility of modulating in real time the wavetables generated by the algorithm. I also really appreciated the ability to save sounds. As for the CPU load, it is not particularly heavy, especially when the release fade is set to zero considering the number of oscillators involved and the quality of the sounds obtained.
Thanks very much again for making it available.
Best regards

Thank you Mr/Ms spag030!

As I mentioned before, this was only possible because of Martin Vicanek’s work. There are 112 cpu-efficient sinewave oscillators running! These are coded in optimised assembler.

I decided to warn people about high CPU because if you have a lower spec PC it might struggle.

My on-board recorder has received quite a few compliments, and so I put one in all my synths these days. It seems like such a simple and obvious thing to do, so I’m surprised it’s not done more widely.

Cheers

As a thank you to all Spogg has contributed here, and his sharing freely of his creations and hard work (of which I've taken huge advantage of lately) I offer FWIW, my re-GUI of Padulator.

Since many of Padulator's sounds remind me of well-made FM patches, I decided to replicate the look of Native Instruments' FM7 (which I always thought was a very handsome plugin, unlike it's bleached-out Apple-looking successor, FM8 - yuck!).

Replacing the knobs ended up being way more difficult than I expected, and had a difficult time making sure they all worked and retained Manfred's presets; it seems all is OK, but should be double-checked. Hopefully this won't be more work than the 'gift' is worth! :? :|

I took the liberty of adding one feature - Feedback for the LowPass Filters. Feel free to remove if you no like; in fact obviously change whatever you'd like; I'll take no offense.

Maybe tula' can make a new logo that will show up better on the black BG. I might suggest the color of the darker buttons (or just a not-so-dark blue), but suit thyself.

I wanted to change the color of the Mod Amnt knobs, but they are custom bitmaps that I couldn't change; I don't know how to make those, so Spogg if you could change those to a color from the rest of the design, that would be lovely. I altered the color of the same knobs in the Generator with alpha overlays, but when I tried the same thing in the mod section FS kept crashing !(?). You could try copying and pasting those from the Generator knobs, maybe it'll work for you.

That looks really good!

If I find the original project files, I'll adapt the logo to it. But I'm not sure, where I stored them (did I send them to Spogg?)

This looks great Kevin and I hope to check it our very soon. As always, thank you for your excellent work. A nice surprise for me! :o

@tulamide
I didn't get the project files for the logos, just the images as I recall.

Cheers

My pleasure - hopefully there won't be too much to fix.

Updated the schematic with a new, more FM7-ish look for the Mod Matrix.

Here's my take on it. I like the colors, I like the font, I like the look.

Note that this shouldn't be considered a working synth. Although I only fiddled around in the graphic section, I'm not sure if I broke something!
