Need some help mod env depth to osc?

Post by djbrynte »

Im added A knob for mod env to oscilator. Basicly the knob is set to -1 to +1. So the signal from mod env goes to pitch of oscilator. Like on v-station. The only problem is when i pitch deep the sound get some clicking effect at the end how can i fix this any ideas?

If your trying for +/- 1 octave multiply your signal by your knob set your knob to -1 to 1 connect to power and use base 2 that way your knob at -1 multiplies by 0.5 = 1 octave down and at 1 multiplies by 2 = 1 octave up.
Hope this helps.

the exponent function is a power I think,
so because frequencies rise exponentially,
the envelope value will too.
so before the exponent, the value looks like this as it rises->
1,2,3,4,5...
and after
1,2,4,8,16...

Its just a way of centralising the knob, you could just replace with a knob that go's from 0.5 to 2 but the no change ie multiply by 1 would not be in the center and if you wanted more octaves the effect would be more pronounced.
Try it and see use the power and set your knob to -2 to 2 = 2 octaves up / down then use a knob without the power that go's from0.25 to 4.

ok. But i need the effect when knob goes -1 to +1 like on v-station. Is this the same thing? I will try it now.
