Interfacing to a Cypress EZ-USB CY7C68013A FX2LP

Hello. I've been intersted in the various development programs that you can create for the Cypress EZ-USB FX2LP device. Mostly 8 channel logic anaylizers and oscilloscopes.

If you don't know what a Cypress EZ-USB FX2LP is, then you're in for a treat. It's an amazingly dynamic and diverse chip that ...

How to Software Dumux the Serial Data of an ADC chip

I've been scratching my head for the last couple of days on how to software demux the signal that is generated from an Analog Devices 8 Channel ADC chip. Your signals go into the chip, the chip then multiplexes these signals and this signal is then spat out through the I2C bus on a single data line ...

Emulating a Germanium PNP Transistor in Synthmaker or Flowst

I had this great idea (at least it's great in my mind) that it would be pretty cool to create a Ruby module in Flowstone that emulated a PNP germanium transistor for the purpose of creating vintage guitar effect pedals like the Fuzz Face. It uses two of them, a few resistors and a couple of ceramic ...

Creating Modules with Ruby for Unsuported USB Hardware

Hello. I've been working on a little project which uses Servo controlles. Flowstone supports servos by a company called Phidgets. When I went to the Phidgets website I was disapointed to see that their cheapest usb servo controller was about £40 and it only supported one servo. If you want to ...

I would say that this is the area that you need to look at - from my small experience of them, servo's are usually pretty tolerant of slight errors in the exact frequency etc. - they often used to be driven by analogue circuits where even the values of individual components can vary ...

Re: Learning new Flowstone features with SynthMaker backgrou

I don't think you'll ever see much of a Ruby tutorial here on this website because Ruby isn't designed or created by Dsprobitics. It's an independent programming language developed by a guy named Yukihiro Matsumoto. It's a blend of various languages like Perl, Smalltalk, Eiffel, Ada, and Lisp. It ...

Controlling a Servo with ONLY a PC Audio Card and Flowstone

Hello. I've been working on a little project for a while that hasn't gotten anywhere recently. I first started it with Synthedit and asked a lot of question on the synthedit website but now I've decided that it's probably more appropriate to ask over here on the flowstone website.

Basically what I ...
